In the summer, the GUI lab warmly welcome two postdocs, Jingwei and Liang. They brought new techniques including reproductive biology and artificial intelligence to the lab, which is great! We also welcome Mengxuan, our new PhD student, who has expertise in cryo-ET data processing.
Also, congratulations to Ye-Jun for his Nat Commun paper (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-026-74801-7), a collaborative work on the mechanism of RGS22 on regulating ciliary motility. Ye-Jun has used cryo-ET to desect the structural defects of Rgs22-null cilia.
